2 Great Reasons to Consider Outsourcing vs. Employees

November 17th, 2011

Owning a web based business can be very rewarding, indeed, but it’s only a living if you can crack the code to making money with your website. As every internet marketer knows, traffic generation is one of the most important keys to success with virtually any online endeavor. But driving traffic to your website is no easy task, especially not if you’re trying to accomplish all the necessary tasks yourself. You do have options in this arena, however; the primary two to consider being 1) hiring and training employees, or 2) outsourcing your marketing tasks to a professional website promotion company. Here are a couple of things to consider as you determine which option will work best for your specific business marketing needs.

1. Hiring and Training Employees

You might consider hiring and training either part time or full time employees to handle the promotion and maintenance of your online business. The truth is, however, that even contracted employees can wind up costing you more than their services are worth in the long run. Some of the difficulties you might run into trying to train and manage employees include:

Very few potential employees are experts in all of the areas in which you need assistance. It is more likely that you will have to hire multiple employees to perform multiple tasks, and that’s going to mean a lot of time and effort on your part for screening, hiring and training.
Most web-based employees work remotely (or telecommute). This makes it extremely difficult to accurately track productivity, making hourly positions pretty risky from a financial standpoint.
Keeping employees, once you’ve gone to the trouble to find them and train them, requires regular, steady work. Can you guarantee that at this point? Otherwise you’ll find them seeking work elsewhere, as their financial livelihood depends on it, after all. Then you’ll be starting at square one with the hiring and training process. At this point, you might as well have just completed the tasks yourself!

2. Outsourcing vs. Employees

By choosing to outsource your website marketing tasks, you can eliminate the headaches involved with hiring and training employees.

Outsourcing companies have already screened and trained employees for just the specific marketing tasks you need to have completed.
When you outsource, you don’t have to worry about having a steady stream of work or the productivity of your employees on an hourly basis, as you can hire your tasks out on a per-project basis, paying a pre-set amount for the completed assignment.
You won’t ever have to be burdened with employee issues or paperwork when you choose, instead, to outsource.

Outsourcing your marketing tasks can lighten your workload significantly, while streamlining your promotional efforts and ultimately bringing you much-needed website traffic (aka success!)

The Importance of Good Customer Service

August 8th, 2011

One huge advantage of an online business over a physical storefront is the virtually unlimited client potential.  It’s no secret that a successful online business has a vast customer pool to draw from.  Don’t let yourself fall into the trap of thinking, “there’s always more customers”, however.  How you treat your clients will have a great impact on your current and future success.  The following tips, for the most part, are pretty simple … yet very often overlooked.

1    Know Your Customer
Identify your target consumer and get to know all you can     about them.  Study trends and find the appropriate voice with     which to speak to them.  Design and update your website     with them in mind – not just your own aesthetic.  From colors     to content, you want to capture and keep their attention.

2    Look At The Whole Experience
You must be able to put yourself in your customer’s shoes, so     to speak.  See what they see … and see it through to the     end. From the initial visit to your site, through the discovery     and interest in your product or content, to the purchase of     your product or membership to your site.  Even though this is     the desired end response, you cannot stop here – because     your customer’s experience does not end here. Follow it     through from shipping, to receipt, to reaction. How did you     do?  Did you deliver all you wanted to?  If not, adjust!     Encourage feedback from your clients … and LISTEN!  If they     are happy, they will recommend you to their network of     people.  If not, you have certainly lost this customer and,
probably, many, many more.

3    Keep Them Engaged
Once your site has been discovered … and liked … now you     need to keep your customer’s interest.  It is very important to     keep your content up to date and fresh.  Visual     stimulation is     key.  If your client comes back to your site and     the look is     updated and different, he/she will linger longer,    thinking there     is new content or product to discover – even if     you have only     made subtle changes to content.  Of course, if you do add     new product and/or important content, make sure you put it     prevalently on display.

4   Keep Them Coming Back
Once you have gotten your customer, you want to be able to market to him/her.  Get an email address as part of the checkout / purchase process.  Be careful not to send out TOO many emails, but do send one out whenever there is something interesting going on with your site.  You want to stay in their minds without annoying them with a full inbox. Make available and encourage your clients to “like” you on Facebook and follow you on Twitter.  Not only can you get your word out to them, but also to all on their “friends” list.

Good customer service is not a new concept or business tool, but remains very important, nonetheless.  With so many products, sites, and services available, you need to look for simple things that will set you apart from you competitors.  Going above and beyond to satisfy your customer will certainly go a long way.

Affiliate Marketing 101

July 11th, 2011

If there’s one thing the technology era has given us, it’s opportunity. And you don’t even need a college degree or any special skills to take advantage of the extraordinary lifestyle which can be achieved through the simple concept of affiliate marketing. To be successful in affiliate marketing, all you really need is a clear vision, dedication to your future success, and a little basic information. If you’re curious about getting started in affiliate marketing, here are a few tips to set you on the right path.

What is Affiliate Marketing?

Only the easiest way to make money on the internet! You’ve heard of affiliate marketing, no doubt, but it’s important to understand what it’s really all about before getting started.

In order to make a sale happen, you need three things:

A product or service to sell.
An outlet for your product or service.
Consumers who want or need your product or service.

Affiliate marketing, quite simply, puts you in the position of “middle man” in this whole process. You select the product. You develop a relationship with the “outlet.” You promote the product or service of your choice, and collect a fee or commission upon each sale you initiate.

The Benefits of Affiliate Marketing

If you want to start a business, but don’t have a product or service of your own to sell, then affiliate marketing is the solution you’ve been searching for. When you become an affiliate, you choose to market someone else’s product or service, and you share a “piece of the pie” upon each sale. Everybody wins!

Another benefit of affiliate marketing is that you can choose to represent several products and/or services. Have a hobby you really enjoy? Focus your affiliate marketing efforts on a multitude of items in that niche and build a successful business around your passion!

Where to Find Affiliate Products and Services

There are thousands of companies who utilize the power of affiliate marketing to promote their products and services. Some great places to begin your search for affiliate products are:

Clickbank: Leading, reputable provider of digital affiliate products.
Commission Junction: Leading, reputable matchmaker between thousands of products and their would-be affiliate representatives.
Amazon: Brand recognition goes a long way when launching an affiliate marketing campaign!

These are some of the best places to get started with your affiliate marketing business, but take the time to do some research of your own. Have a favorite product or service that you would simply love to represent? More and more companies are working directly with their affiliates—check with them to see what they have to offer.

How to Get Started in Affiliate Marketing

Now that you understand the basic concepts of affiliate marketing, how do you launch your business? Well, the primary vehicle for success with affiliate marketing is your own website. Attaining a website is easy enough, but what do you do next? How do you develop that website into something professional looking; something your potential customers will trust? And then—most importantly—how do you promote your website?

Fortunately, these tasks are nothing to be intimidated by. Some people know how to build and promote websites…and some people don’t. But both types of people have an equal chance to be successful in affiliate marketing. If you happen to fall into the “don’t” crowd, you simply need to get some help with the “technical” aspects of your new online business, and there are many companies out there who specialize in assisting affiliate marketers with these technical tasks. Worry Free Outsourcing is one such company, offering reasonably priced services specifically designed for affiliate marketers, including passive income services, content creation, link building, research and promotion, just for starters. Worry Free Outsourcing will even help you find the best paying affiliate programs for your online business.

This is the technology era, and affiliate marketing is the wave of the future for successful online entrepreneurs. Will you be one of them?
